Today I got to see another side of photography that I have been waiting for. Something that has always interested me is nature photography, or still life, or something that’s just not moving haha. You can really see the beauties of the world. Michelle took me to a area with abandoned houses and sheds, and honestly I was a little scared, last time I was walking by a house like this I broke out in hives, my eyes got swollen, and my throat was closing! Surprisingly all the furniture was still here, and the paint on the walls were very bright, I was waiting for a ghost to walk around the corner at any minute. This isn't my usual scene but I'm really happy with the pictures that I got. I would say the journey is going good, and new and exciting things are coming up!

Well sadly, the snow is here in Colorado. But it can make for a great photo shoot. Luckily it seems like I always have someone to practice on. Travis here is a little trooper, letting us hang him upside down, making him dress up a hillbilly snow man, and making him throw snow in the air many times! He told me he had fun though so I'm not sure I feel too bad. Plus he got treats after it was all said and done! As I am learning more, I’m getting really excited doing things that I once thought were pointless even trying to teach me. But thankfully I am learning, and it’s a good feeling. Usually I’m not a huge fan of the snow but Travis and Michelle made it fun! Thanks guys for letting me use you!

Right before Christmas I got the chance to take pictures of my photographer Michelle's family! The was the first time I really got to get a feel for the camera and I learned a lot! Seeming's how it was one of the first time I took pictures and put what I kind of knew to work I feel like I did a pretty good job. Derek and Travis didn’t like the cold too much, they had their eyes on the prize the whole time (suckers) but I love these little boys and I’m glad that I got to shoot them for my first family photo shoot! And Michelle, thank you so much for letting me look at your families journey right before the holidays despite the cold weather and your busy schedule, I feel pretty honored that you would trust me taking these. Thank you for everything you have done with me this year from taking pictures of me, to showing me how to work the camera in most ways that people don’t… and thank you for all the countless amazing dinners, and awesome costo samples (; I’m excited to see what’s going to happen in 2011, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year guys! love you!
